Shock and grief have rocked a Las Vegas neighborhood as the widow of Rev. Nick Davi launches a bombshell lawsuit, accusing her homeowners’ association of standing by while a simmering feud with a neighbor exploded in tragedy.
Two years after the popular Grace Point Church pastor was gunned down outside his Aliante home, Sarah Davi is taking the Court at Aliante HOA and FirstService Nevada to court, blasting them for ignoring mounting complaints as tensions built to a deadly climax.

Court papers filed this week by Sarah allege that HOA officials were repeatedly alerted to hostile behavior from neighbor Joe Junio, 36, but refused to step in. Instead, things spiraled—with the Davi family reporting everything from rock-throwing and dog waste being dumped on their property, to increasingly menacing threats all linked to disputes over Junio’s pets, according to police documents referenced by 8NewsNow.
December 29, 2023 proved to be the flashpoint. As the Davi family returned to their gated community, Junio allegedly crept by in her vehicle before stopping, locking eyes with the family in a chilling stare-down. Tensions snapped when Nick demanded, “What’s your problem with us?” Suddenly, Junio leapt from her car and opened fire, even as one of the Davi children—ages 12 and 15—captured the chaos on video from inside their vehicle. The horrific encounter ended with Nick fatally wounded and Sarah fighting for her life, while Junio bolted to her apartment.
Junio now faces a raft of serious charges: murder, attempted murder, and child abuse, per North Las Vegas police. Meanwhile, the church community has rallied behind the devastated family, raising more than $105,700 through a GoFundMe drive to help with mounting costs.

Records reveal a clear paper trail—numerous distress calls to law enforcement, HOA pleas, and documented harassment all centered around repetitive complaints about Junio’s chickens and dogs. Despite this, Sarah’s legal team claims the HOA and property managers failed to act, leaving the family exposed to escalating danger. Their suit brands the association’s response as negligent, accusing officials of being fully aware that Junio posed a serious threat but choosing to look the other way.
Rev. Nick Davi, who had rebuilt his life in Las Vegas after moving west post-Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is now being mourned by his congregation and city alike, demanding answers to how the nightmare unfolded and why no one stepped in before it was too late.
