Sarah Rice, 39, described by loved ones as a devoted mother and friend, was discovered lifeless alongside Greg A. Johnson, 42, in the basement of their home. The grim discovery was made by one of the couple’s young children, who had just returned from a playdate. After entering the house, the child ran back outside in distress, alerting the adult who had brought them home that something was terribly wrong inside.
Emergency calls quickly brought Bethlehem police to the residence, where the full horror emerged: not only had Rice and Johnson succumbed to gunshot wounds, but two younger children and an elderly relative were also found inside, all unharmed.
