A chilling case out of Chicago is drawing national attention after police say an elderly woman was brutally killed inside her own home—allegedly at the hands of her own son.

Authorities say 88-year-old Daniest Graves, a woman described as deeply routine-driven and devoted to her family and faith, vanished under suspicious circumstances after returning home from a routine shopping trip.
