What was supposed to be a carefree bachelorette weekend in Nashville turned into a night of fear after a masked intruder entered an Airbnb where a group of friends was staying.

Bride-to-be Micaela Rodriguez shared the unsettling experience in a TikTok video posted on April 1, describing a series of strange घटनations that escalated into a full-blown break-in.

According to Rodriguez, the warning signs began early. One of the guests arrived ahead of the group but was unable to access the Airbnb using the keypad. The host eventually had to unlock the door manually — but not before the guest noticed a group of men watching the house from nearby.

Once the rest of the group arrived, more odd details emerged. The rooftop door was found unlocked, something Rodriguez said they brushed off in the excitement of the trip.

That night, the group headed out to Nashville’s Lower Broadway district, leaving behind one male friend and, later, a woman who returned early after feeling sick.

That’s when things took a frightening turn.

The woman staying on the first floor heard someone rattling her bedroom doorknob. Assuming it was her friends returning, she opened the door — only to come face-to-face with a man wearing a ski mask and gloves.

“He immediately ran out,” Rodriguez said, explaining that the brief encounter gave the woman just enough time to lock herself in the bathroom and call for help.

Upstairs, the male guest had been hearing noises — voices, movement, even a toilet flushing — for about 15 minutes. Believing it was the group returning, he stayed in his room. It wasn’t until he received a text warning him to call police that he realized something was wrong.

Police later said they believe at least two intruders had entered the home, according to Metro Nashville Police Department.

When officers arrived, the group returned to the Airbnb and were eventually allowed inside to gather their belongings. Strangely, nothing appeared to be stolen.

“There were designer bags, laptops, cameras — everything was untouched,” Rodriguez said, adding that the lack of theft made the situation feel even more unsettling.

Authorities reportedly told the group that incidents like this are not uncommon, particularly in short-term rentals marketed toward bachelorette parties, where schedules can be predictable.

The group ultimately abandoned the Airbnb and relocated to a nearby hotel, where Rodriguez said they finally felt safe.

Despite the scare, the celebration continued — albeit under a shadow.

“It was a bit of a buzzkill,” Rodriguez said. “But we’re just thankful no one was hurt.”
