A Georgia courtroom has delivered a swift and decisive verdict in a deeply disturbing domestic violence case that has left a family shattered and a community reeling.

Kelvin Demond Williams, 48, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 100 years, after being convicted of murdering his wife and attempting to kill his teenage stepson. The chilling details of the crime—reported by local news outlets and Law&Crime—paint a harrowing picture of control, violence, and a final act that prosecutors described as both calculated and cruel.

The shooting unfolded late at night on July 13, 2025, inside the family’s home in Woodstock, Georgia. According to investigators, a 16-year-old boy made a frantic 911 call, telling dispatchers that his stepfather was shooting at him and had already shot his mother. The teen hid in a bedroom while his 4-year-old sibling slept nearby, unaware of the unfolding tragedy.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they encountered a surreal and unsettling sight: Williams standing in the kitchen, calmly smoking a cigarette. Inside, they discovered Tenisha Williams, 48, lying dead from a gunshot wound. The weapon used in the killing was found nearby.

During the trial, jurors were shown home surveillance footage that captured the horrifying sequence of events. Prosecutors said the video revealed Williams first firing at his stepson, narrowly missing his head. He then turned the gun on his wife, firing multiple shots as she pleaded for her life. As she attempted to escape, he cornered her in the kitchen and fired the fatal shot.
