A quiet night in Beverly Hills was shattered by gunfire — shots aimed at one of the most recognizable homes in the world.

Authorities say Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly opening fire on the mansion of global superstar Rihanna.

The incident unfolded on March 8, when Ortiz is accused of arriving outside the estate shared by Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their three children — and firing an AR-style rifle toward the property while they were inside.

No one was physically injured. But the impact of the moment was immediate.

Prosecutors say Ortiz fired multiple rounds at the home before fleeing the scene. She was later arrested in Sherman Oaks. Now, she faces a sweeping list of charges: one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

If convicted, she could face life in prison.

Ortiz appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 25, where she formally entered her not guilty plea. She is currently being held on $1.875 million bail after a judge denied her attorney’s request to lower it to $70,000.

The motive behind the alleged attack remains unclear, but investigators are examining social media posts Ortiz made prior to the shooting. In one message, written roughly two weeks earlier, she appeared to address someone directly: “Say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me.”

Authorities have not confirmed whether the posts were connected to Rihanna or the incident itself.

The case has rattled even a city accustomed to celebrity and spectacle. While no one was harmed, the idea that a high-powered weapon was fired into a home with a family inside has raised deeper concerns about safety — even in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods.

For now, Ortiz remains behind bars as the case moves forward, with prosecutors preparing to argue that what happened outside that mansion was not random — but something far more deliberate.
