A series of alarming road rage incidents in Arizona has led to the arrest of a young couple accused of escalating confrontations into dangerous and violent encounters—some of which unfolded in front of children.

Arianna Foster, 20, and Alexander Black, 24, are facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, criminal damage, and endangerment, after police say they were involved in at least three separate road rage incidents within a single month.

According to details reported in coverage of the case, the first incident occurred on Feb. 19 in a Walmart parking lot in Glendale. A man driving with his 8-year-old daughter said he noticed a vehicle following him closely—so close, police noted, that he could not see the headlights behind him.

When the man pulled into the parking lot and tried to figure out what was happening, the situation quickly escalated. Authorities say Foster allegedly spit at the man, hitting him in the face, before running up and throwing a rock at his car from just a few feet away.

As the victim attempted to leave, police say Black chased after him, at one point armed with a hammer. Another rock was allegedly thrown at the vehicle, causing significant damage and narrowly missing the windshield—an act investigators say put both the driver and his young daughter at risk.

Just days later, authorities say the same couple was involved in another confrontation—again in a Walmart parking lot. In that incident, Black allegedly followed another driver aggressively, while Foster is accused of throwing objects at the vehicle, one of which struck and damaged it. Surveillance footage reportedly helped investigators connect the same vehicle to both incidents.

The third encounter, which took place on March 18 along Loop 101, appears to have been the most intense.

According to police, Black allegedly engaged in aggressive driving behavior, including speeding up, cutting off another driver, and abruptly braking, causing a crash. After the collision, the victim approached the vehicle, reportedly asking, “What the hell was that?”

What followed, investigators say, was a rapid escalation. Foster allegedly sprayed the victim with pepper spray, while Black reportedly used tools to damage the victim’s car, including striking it and slashing tires. The victim later told police he was terrified during the encounter and feared for his life.

Authorities were ultimately able to identify the suspects using surveillance footage and vehicle information. Both Foster and Black were taken into custody and booked into the Maricopa County Jail, where they are being held on $150,000 bond.

The case has raised concerns about how quickly everyday driving disputes can spiral into dangerous situations. Law enforcement officials often stress that road rage incidents can escalate unpredictably—especially when weapons or aggressive behavior are involved.

For the victims, particularly the father whose young daughter witnessed one of the encounters, the experience was more than just a traffic dispute—it was a frightening ordeal with lasting impact.

As the legal process moves forward, the case stands as a stark reminder of the risks associated with aggressive driving—and how moments of anger on the road can quickly turn into serious criminal matters.
