Law enforcement officials in New Mexico have launched a renewed investigation at Jeffrey Epstein’s sprawling Zorro Ranch, a remote property long surrounded by disturbing rumors tied to the late financier’s criminal activities.
The ranch, located roughly 30 miles south of Santa Fe, spans thousands of acres and includes a massive compound that once served as one of Epstein’s private retreats. According to reports highlighted by the New York Post, investigators recently descended on the property after years of speculation about what may have taken place there.
The renewed attention follows claims that the ranch may hold evidence linked to Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking network and other potential crimes.
Much of the push to examine the property more closely has been driven by local radio host Eddy Aragon, who said he received an anonymous tip in 2019—just months after Epstein died in jail. The message reportedly claimed that two foreign women had died at the ranch and were buried somewhere on the property.
The email, which Aragon shared with the FBI, was allegedly written by someone claiming to be a former ranch employee who said they had witnessed disturbing events there. The sender demanded payment in bitcoin in exchange for additional information and alleged evidence, but Aragon declined and forwarded the tip to federal authorities.
Whether federal investigators ever pursued the tip remains unclear. However, the recent search appears to be one of the first significant law enforcement efforts focused on the ranch since Epstein’s death in 2019.

Zorro Ranch itself has long been the subject of speculation. Reports over the years have described Epstein’s unusual ambitions for the property, including claims he once envisioned using it as part of a controversial plan to populate the world with his genetic descendants.
Photos of the site taken after it was sold in 2023 show that sections of the land have already been excavated, including an area where a large maze-like garden once stood. A massive hole now marks where the elaborate structure used to be.
The ranch was eventually purchased by the family of former Texas state senator Don Huffines, who have reportedly cooperated with investigators as authorities examine the property.
For now, officials have not publicly confirmed exactly what investigators are searching for or whether any evidence has been discovered.
Still, the investigation has reignited public interest in Epstein’s global network and the lingering questions surrounding his activities and associates.
As authorities continue examining the remote property, many believe the search could uncover new details about a case that has remained one of the most controversial and mysterious criminal scandals in recent history.
