A quiet Georgia neighborhood woke to sirens, flashing lights, and a scene that has left investigators searching for answers.
On the morning of Feb. 24, officers with the DeKalb County Police Department responded to an emergency call at a residence and discovered the body of 43-year-old Mynoviah “Mira” Sales-Tinsley inside the home.
What they reportedly found nearby has only deepened the mystery.
According to Public Information Officer Elise Wells, multiple dogs were located at the scene and were “covered in what appeared to be blood.” Authorities have not elaborated on how many dogs were present or how they came to be in that condition. Wells declined to provide additional details about the interior of the home but confirmed that the case remains under active investigation.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased woman as Mynoviah Tinsley. An autopsy is currently underway to determine both the cause and manner of her death. Officials have not said whether foul play is suspected.
For now, the circumstances surrounding Tinsley’s death remain unclear.
Online, grief and confusion have poured out from those who knew her.
Tinsley’s husband, who frequently shared photos of dogs on his Facebook page, posted wedding photos of the couple following her death. In one message, he wrote: “Please pray for me yall I loss my other half today…..Hellllllp.”
In a second post, he added, “I feel so dead.”
Friends and family have also taken to social media to remember the woman they called “Mira.”
“With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved wife, daughter, emo, auntie, cousin, friend and baby sister known throughout the Columbus community, Mynoviah ‘Mira’ Sales-Tinsley has transitioned from this Earthly life,” her sister, LaMel Sales, wrote in a tribute.
She described Tinsley as “a devoted wife and aunt” who “was making her mark on society and aiding her patients through her field of psychology.” The family asked for privacy as they grieve.
Tinsley’s professional work in psychology adds another layer of heartbreak to the story. Loved ones say she dedicated herself to helping others navigate trauma and emotional pain — a calling that now stands in stark contrast to the unanswered questions surrounding her own death.

Authorities have not disclosed whether the dogs found at the home belonged to the couple, nor have they confirmed if the animals were injured. Police have also not said whether the blood observed on the dogs is believed to be Tinsley’s.
WXIA first reported that officers are actively working to gather more information. The medical examiner’s office has not provided a timeline for when autopsy results may be released.
In the absence of official details, speculation has spread quickly across social media, fueled in part by the unusual description of the scene. But investigators have cautioned that the case is still unfolding and that conclusions should not be drawn prematurely.
