The MAGA civil war just went nuclear — and this time it’s not Democrats firing the shots.
Activist and self-styled Trump whisperer Laura Loomer is publicly demanding that the White House crack down on Tucker Carlson, accusing the former Fox News host of sabotaging President Donald Trump and lobbying for Iran.
“Everybody needs to be pressuring the White House to issue a statement condemning Tucker Carlson this week,” Loomer wrote Monday on X. “His efforts to derail the GOP and his nonstop sabotage of President Trump must end.”
That wasn’t the end of it.
Loomer went further, claiming Carlson — who has criticized U.S. support for Israel and opposed potential military escalation with Iran — should be forced to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), a law requiring people lobbying on behalf of foreign governments to disclose their activities.
“Tucker attempting to lobby for Iran at the White House!!!!” Loomer wrote. “When will Pam Bondi force Tucker to register with FARA???? How is this not a national security threat?”
She also accused Carlson of spreading “poisonous Jew hatred” and mocked him as “Tucker Qatarlson,” referencing his recent visit to Qatar. Her tirade coincided with reports from Punchbowl News that Carlson was visiting the White House.
The spectacle underscores a growing and increasingly bitter fracture within the right over Israel, foreign policy, and the direction of Trump’s movement.
At the center of the latest flare-up is Carlson’s weekend interview with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. The conversation was combative from the start.
Carlson pressed Huckabee repeatedly on why the United States continues to provide military and diplomatic support to Israel. He also questioned claims of Jewish sovereignty in Israel, noting that many modern Jewish Israelis descend from European immigrants who arrived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
For some in the MAGA orbit, that line of questioning crossed from isolationism into something darker.
Carlson insisted during the interview that he “hates antisemitism” and wishes “no harm” to Israel. But critics point to his recent platforming of controversial far-right figures, including Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, as evidence that he’s edging into extremist territory.
The feud isn’t just about personalities. It’s about power — and about who defines what “America First” means in 2026.
One faction argues that true MAGA foreign policy requires pulling back from overseas entanglements, including unwavering support for Israel. Another insists that backing Israel remains central to Republican orthodoxy.
Trump, according to reports, has been urging Carlson since January to dial down his feud with the pro-Israel wing of the movement.
But the Huckabee interview poured gasoline on an already smoldering split.
During that exchange, Huckabee said he would be “fine” if Israel took control of additional nearby territory — a comment that sparked outrage abroad. Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Fuad al-Majali told The Washington Post that the remark was “an assault on the sovereignty of the countries of the region, and a flagrant breach of international law.”
Meanwhile, the geopolitical stakes are rising.
The U.S. military is reportedly ramping up preparations for a potential strike on Iran aimed at curbing its nuclear program. At the same time, U.S. and Iranian negotiators are scheduled to meet Thursday in Geneva.

Against that backdrop, Loomer’s call to treat Carlson as a potential foreign agent adds another layer of chaos to an already volatile situation.
It’s not clear whether the White House will respond to Loomer’s demand for an official condemnation. For now, the battle is playing out in public, with accusations of betrayal, antisemitism, and foreign influence flying across social media.
Once united by a common enemy, parts of the MAGA movement are now turning on each other — loudly and viciously.
And as foreign policy tensions escalate overseas, the war inside Trump’s political world shows no signs of cooling down.
