For years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have carefully shielded their children from public view. But on Valentine’s Day, Meghan Markle offered followers a glimpse that stood out: a clear look at her daughter, Princess Lilibet.

The Feb. 14 Instagram post featured a warm, sunset-lit scene of Prince Harry standing in a grassy field, smiling as he held 4-year-old Lilibet. Dressed casually and clutching bright red balloons, the young royal’s face was more visible than in previous family photos, where the couple has typically opted for silhouettes or shots taken from behind.

Meghan, 44, kept the caption simple and intimate. Adding a red heart emoji, she wrote, “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines,” referencing not only Lilibet but also the couple’s 6-year-old son, Prince Archie.

The post marked a rare personal share from Meghan, whose relationship with Harry has played out on a global stage since they began dating in 2016. Despite the intense public scrutiny that followed their courtship, royal exit and move to the United States, Meghan has previously described their marriage as grounded in mutual loyalty.

Across the Atlantic, Prince William and Kate Middleton also marked Valentine’s Day with a quieter tribute, sharing a previously unseen photograph taken by Josh Shinner alongside a brief “Happy Valentine’s Day” message.

But it was Meghan’s sunset snapshot — balloons bright against the fading light — that drew particular attention, not for royal spectacle, but for a simple family moment rarely placed so clearly in view.
