Karoline Leavitt spun a new story for the cameras this week after sharp-eyed observers noticed fresh, telltale bruising on President Donald Trump’s left hand during his appearance in Switzerland.

Addressing the press with her signature grin on July 22, 2025, Leavitt claimed to CNN that the president’s latest injury was nothing more than a clumsy mishap at the Board of Peace event in Davos. According to her, Trump’s hand suffered a bruising blow after he ‘whacked it against the corner of the signing table.’

But the White House has changed its tune more than once over these suspicious bruises. Earlier, the administration conveniently pinned the blame on aspirin usage and the rigors of presidential glad-handing. No video footage has emerged to verify Leavitt’s dramatic account, so critics are left questioning what really happened behind closed doors in Davos.

Meanwhile, medical experts point out that a whack isn’t instantly visible—a proper bruise needs hours, or even days, to spread into those telltale shades of blue and purple. As the official narrative keeps shifting, one thing is clear: the mystery of Trump’s battered hand is far from settled.
