Miami’s nightlife just got a seedy new headline-grabber: Sarah Tavano, 39, is making waves for all the wrong reasons.

Police say the Massachusetts native turned her South Florida socializing into a criminal spree, allegedly slipping drugs into men’s drinks and making off with their valuables while they were knocked out cold.

Detectives in Miami-Dade County claim Tavano is no rookie—her exploits have become so notorious that cops recognized her from previous cases. Local 10 News reports she’s now slapped with a whopping ten felony charges in four linked cases. Her modus operandi? Winning over unsuspecting men under the guise of a romantic connection, then allegedly drugging and robbing them blind.

The law finally caught up with Tavano last Sunday at Sugar, the swanky rooftop bar in downtown Miami where she was arrested carrying a baggie of mysterious white powder, four pills in a cup, and a bottle of Jägermeister laced with powder. According to police, Tavano admitted the liquid was spiked with MDMA. The four criminal cases appeared on her record Monday, making her one of Florida’s most talked-about suspects.

For Tavano, the trail of evidence is damning: Police say they’ve got her fingerprint on a stolen watch case, surveillance footage capturing incriminating moments, and even a full confession. The first alleged heist went down on October 26, when a man, after a boozy night out, woke to find over $50,000 in luxury goods gone—jewelry, designer handbags, and suitcases swiped clean, belongings that police say belonged to his fiancée. The man had no recollection of letting Tavano into his apartment.

The brands pilfered read like a who’s who of high fashion—Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent.

The crime wave continued. On December 11, another Miami man lost more than $34,000 when someone drained his accounts and transferred cryptocurrency after stealing his phone and wallet, authorities allege. He reported blacking out and waking with his finances in shambles.

Just two days later, yet another victim at the Intercontinental Hotel says he was approached by a woman at the bar, invited her to his room, and lost consciousness after drinking with her. When he came to, his pricey Rolex and $1,500 had vanished.

Police are warning bar-hoppers to beware—in Miami, a single drink with the wrong stranger can cost you more than just a hangover. The saga of Sarah Tavano is a jaw-dropping tale of trust betrayed, leaving a trail of victims dazed, confused, and robbed of their valuables and dignity.
