A political bombshell has exploded around Trump’s Labor Secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who’s under fire after shocking revelations she allegedly led her staff to a strip club on taxpayers’ dime during an official visit, a bombshell inspector general’s report reveals.
According to eye-popping details uncovered by The New York Post, Chavez-DeRemer—on a whistle-stop tour through Oregon last spring—somehow found time, between schmoozing Governor Tina Kotek, chatting with the CEO of a local truck giant, and inspecting Intel’s chip plant, to drop by Angels PDX, a notorious gentlemen’s club just outside Portland, with her official entourage on April 18.

Expense reports for the five-day junket show U.S. taxpayers picked up a hefty $2,890.06 bill, covering $1,324.21 in airfare, $722 for hotels, $655 spent chowing down, and $188.35 marked as ‘miscellaneous.’
Chavez-DeRemer’s high-profile lawyer, Dr. Nick Oberheiden, shot down the bombshell claims, maintaining her innocence: “Secretary Chavez-DeRemer absolutely denies any misconduct. Her primary goal is driving President Trump’s policies forward with tireless dedication to Americans,” Oberheiden thundered in a statement.
These revelations are just the latest in an avalanche of accusations against the embattled Labor boss. As first revealed on January 9, a jaw-dropping complaint filed with Department of Labor inspector general Anthony D’Esposito claims Chavez-DeRemer not only abused her authority and kept a private booze stash in her office, but also had a torrid affair with a subordinate.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer speaks at Hatch Stamping in Howell on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025.
The complaint further alleges that Chief of Staff Jihun Han and Deputy Chief Rebecca Wright weren’t just aware—they were ordered to conjure up bogus ‘business trips’ so the Secretary could mix official duties with personal fun. Both were quickly put on paid leave—but officials were clear, that move doesn’t mean there’s proof of any wrongdoing.
The Labor Department has clammed up on the latest storm, declining to comment on the swirling personnel drama.
As scrutiny intensifies, Chavez-DeRemer remains defiant, rejecting the avalanche of allegations now being pored over by internal investigators. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed President Trump knows about the swirling investigation and is standing firmly in Chavez-DeRemer’s corner, saying he believes she’s delivering ‘tremendous’ results for America’s workers.
The ongoing IG probe, fueled by charges of ‘travel fraud’ and alleged misuse of her stated mission to visit every state, shows no signs of slowing down—leaving Washington insiders abuzz with speculation over what scandalous twist might erupt next.
