Drama erupted at a Texas apartment complex after a fiery feud allegedly set off by a woman’s scorching revenge.
Crystal D. Randall has been slapped with charges after investigators say she torched her boyfriend’s clothes in a barbecue pit, igniting a blaze that ripped through the Southlake Villas residences in Harris County early Monday.
The conflict is believed to have started as a heated domestic spat that boiled over, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office. Rather than cooling off, Randall reportedly took matters into her own hands, tossing her partner’s wardrobe into flames right on the patio, local station FOX26 Houston revealed.

But things quickly spiraled out of control. Fire officials say Randall tried to douse the fire herself—only for the smoldering remains to come back to life and unleash destruction on the community. Within moments, the blaze ravaged 13 apartments, leaving them ‘heavily and irreparably damaged,’ per the Sheldon Fire Department. Roofs caved in, walls blackened, and the aftermath left residents in shock.
Witness Mario Thompson described the mayhem to KTRK-TV: ‘It spread all the way over here—the roof just fell in, stuff was crashing down. I was just standing there like, wow!’

Despite the chaos, every resident managed to escape unscathed, authorities confirmed. However, after initial containment, a rogue ember sparked another outburst, forcing responders to race back. This time, a firefighter suffered injuries but was reported in stable condition at a local hospital, FOX26 reports.
Randall now faces reckless arson charges and was taken to the hospital herself, though officials haven’t disclosed why. The apartment community remains in ruins as investigators pick through the charred debris.
