Oscar-winning powerhouse Emma Stone isn’t shy about her reality TV obsessions—especially when it comes to scandal-ridden Housewives.
Speaking to W Magazine for their high-profile Best Performances Issue 2026 (out January 6th), Stone dropped a jaw-dropping confession: she and her brother braved two bone-chilling hours in the New York winter just for a chance to spot the infamous Jen Shah outside the courthouse during the TV star’s headline-making fraud sentencing last year.
“I’m seriously hooked,” Stone gushed about The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, her clear favorite from the franchise. She recounted, “When Jen Shah was facing sentencing in NYC, we trekked over and waited ages in the freezing cold. All we wanted was to see her in person.”

Stone—acclaimed star of ‘Bugonia’ and two-time Oscar champ—didn’t stop at Shah. She also dished about RHOSLC’s stylish standout, Bronwyn Newport, marveling at the fashion chaos unfolding onscreen: “You’ve never seen anyone dress like Bronwyn. Yesterday, I binged two episodes where she’s on a boat rocking a life raft as part of her look. It’s wild—everything feels like a costume!”
Jen Shah stole headlines in January 2023 when she was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars for her part in a nationwide telemarketing scheme. The camera-loving reality celeb only served 33 months before her surprise early release from Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas on December 10, 2023, according to PEOPLE’s exclusive.
Stone’s Housewives fixation isn’t new. On the Poor Things premiere carpet last December, she declared filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos should definitely craft a project around Jen Shah. Stone’s response? An instantly quotable: “Jen Shah! Duh. Can you imagine?”

Her Real Housewives journey has a deep backstory. Way back in 2020, during a sit-down with Jimmy Fallon, Stone confessed she started watching the Salt Lake City drama as soon as it aired, even though she’d avoided most reality shows until then. “I hadn’t seen much of the franchise before, but RHOSLC sucked me in from the start,” she admitted.
From shivering outside courtrooms to critiquing Housewife couture, Emma Stone proves she’s not just a Hollywood superstar—she might be reality TV’s biggest fan!
