Hollywood is mourning the loss of Jayne Trcka, the memorable star remembered for her outrageous turn as Miss Mann in the 2000 parody hit ‘Scary Movie.’
Trcka, also known for her remarkable bodybuilding career, was discovered dead at 62 inside her San Diego residence, TMZ reports. The alarming discovery was made on December 12, according to her son, after a concerned friend, unable to reach the actress for days, dropped by her home and sadly made the grim find.
The San Diego Medical Examiner stated that Trcka’s death involved ‘trauma to the body,’ though officials stopped short of declaring a definitive cause, leaving questions swirling around the circumstances of her passing.

Before flexing her acting muscles on the silver screen, Trcka had a notable presence in the world of competitive bodybuilding after taking up weightlifting in 1986 and hitting the stage just two years later. She dazzled crowds with her unique physique and even adopted the wrestling persona Kasie Cavanaugh, thrilled by the sport since childhood. ‘I’ve been duking it out with my brother in our living room since we were kids,’ she once shared with Mass Muscle Magazine, recalling play-wrestling in her underwear and chasing boys out of the neighborhood for a bit of fun.
Trcka also left her mark in the music world and beyond, popping up in the iconic Lady Gaga and Beyoncé music video for ‘Telephone’ in 2010, and sharing the screen with Keanu Reeves and Suki Waterhouse in 2016’s eerie flick ‘The Bad Batch.’ When not dazzling as a performer, she kept busy as a personal trainer and real estate agent. On her own website, she flaunted her larger-than-life persona as ‘the actress with the unique physique.’
While the details of her shocking death are still shrouded in mystery, Jayne Trcka leaves an indelible legacy on screens, stages, and in the world of fitness—a true powerhouse gone too soon.
