Tempers flared in Washington this week as Homeland Security boss Kristi Noem found her agency’s federal agents banned from Hilton Hotels in a shocking Minneapolis boycott.

Furious Homeland Security officials took to X on Monday, blasting Hilton for allegedly booting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel from their booked rooms. ‘NO ROOM AT THE INN!’ the department raged online, accusing Hilton of orchestrating a ‘coordinated campaign’ to block DHS agents from staying at their hotels, even when agents booked with official government credentials and rates.

Hilton reportedly axed the reservations without warning—a move DHS called ‘UNACCEPTABLE’, going so far as to ask, ‘Why is Hilton siding with criminals to undermine our law enforcement mission?’ Behind the scenes, emails obtained from the department revealed Hilton quietly pulling the plug. One email bluntly stated, ‘We found immigration work linked to your name and are cancelling your reservation,’ while another made it clear: ‘ICE or immigration agents will not be allowed at our property.’

Hotel management even instructed staff to warn fellow agents their bookings would be nixed as well. Legally, hotels do retain the right to turn away guests—but this latest hospitality cold shoulder has ignited fierce debate, leaving DHS reeling and Hilton squarely in the hot seat.
