Scandal just got messier in Franklin. Angelia “Angie” Solomon, already infamous for her alleged murder plot against her former husband, ex-news anchor Aaron Solomon, is back under the spotlight with fresh criminal charges.
This time, prosecutors say she turned her sights from plotting murder to pilfering from GraceWorks — a beloved local nonprofit that helps those in need.
A Grand Jury just hit Solomon with felony criminal simulation and misdemeanor theft charges, accusing her and fellow defendant Melanie Lisa Hicks of orchestrating a brazen document scam between March 7 and 11, 2025.

Authorities claim the pair cooked up or altered records to make them seem rarer, older, or more valuable than they really were, and then allegedly snatched under $1,000 from GraceWorks. Hicks faces an identical rap sheet.
GraceWorks, known for rallying around struggling families in Williamson County with food, shelter, and essentials, was blindsided by the alleged deceit. Court documents reveal the duo’s suspected scheme went down in March, and Solomon was cuffed in April on the murder solicitation charges. S
he pleaded not guilty in July. Her next courtroom showdown is penciled in for January 13, where the drama is sure to continue.
