Megyn Kelly isn’t pulling any punches in the latest conservative civil war blowup—this time aiming her ire at Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss, accusing the two media bigwigs of fueling antisemitism among the right.
The drama burst open after Shapiro branded Kelly a ‘coward’ for failing to rebuke Candace Owens, whose wild conspiracy theories about the death of Charlie Kirk are stoking chaos in MAGA circles.

Weiss, editor-in-chief at The Free Press and a CBS News exec, publicly backed up Shapiro’s attack, only to have Kelly fire back with the explosive allegation that their unbridled, hardline support for Israel is actually ‘creating antisemites.’
The public spat ignited at AmericaFest—the headline-grabbing end-of-year gathering for Turning Point USA, where every corner featured right-wing infighting. Far-right firestarter Candace Owens, who built her brand on the Daily Wire’s airwaves and served as TPUSA’s comms guru, set off alarms when she spun a web of outlandish claims: that Charlie Kirk’s assassination was an Israeli hit job engineered with the help of his own Turning Point colleagues, supposedly because Kirk wavered on the Gaza conflict.

As Owens veered further into antisemitic conspiracy territory, Kelly remained in her corner, even taking credit for brokering an uneasy truce between Owens and Erika Kirk. Erika, Charlie’s widow, has publicly demanded that Owens stop spreading rumors surrounding her husband’s murder. Yet Kelly insists she saw no reason to muzzle Owens, arguing she had the right to dig for answers—even if Kelly herself doesn’t think Israel was involved.

Ben Shapiro speaks during AmericaFest at the Phoenix Convention Center on Dec. 18, 2025.
Thursday night at AmericaFest was a showdown, with Shapiro following Erika Kirk on the main stage and delivering a fiery speech. He went after Kelly, Steve Bannon, and Tucker Carlson, dismissing each as ‘charlatans’ peddling darkness and lies, and ripped Carlson for his sit-down with white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Directly calling out Kelly’s friendship with Owens, Shapiro thundered: ‘There is only one moral side—Erika Kirk’s. The widow with two children, whose husband was shot for all the world to see. Siding with conspiracy peddlers is just more cowardice.’
Kelly wasted little time firing back in her own AmericaFest remarks, refusing to throw Owens under the bus and defending her right to question the official story. ‘I don’t believe Israel had anything to do with it,’ Kelly clarified to the crowd. ‘But I wasn’t obligated to shut Candace down for asking tough questions.’
As conservative ranks ripple with infighting—be it over the Epstein case, Tucker Carlson’s controversial interviews, or the latest TPUSA scandal—it’s Megyn Kelly turning the spotlight on Shapiro and Weiss, charging that their relentless support for Israel is backfiring and breeding hate on the right. One thing’s clear in this latest MAGA meltdown: the knives are out, and no one’s backing down.
