The California Commission on Judicial Performance didn’t mince words in their scathing, 18-page rebuke, painting Wolfe as a judge who repeatedly trampled over her own powers in family law proceedings.

From the marble halls of the Porterville courthouse, Wolfe’s controversial conduct unfolded over eight separate incidents, according to the watchdog group. Their harsh critique pointed directly to Wolfe’s fraught relationships with both court staff and vulnerable litigants, warning that her behavior sowed chaos in court operations and left a mark on those seeking justice.

The drama kicked off on December 20, 2023, during a custody hearing, when Wolfe apparently turned the heat on a Family Court Services worker after they missed a deadline to file a report. Rather than offering leniency, Wolfe reportedly went on the offensive, demanding the worker make a personal appearance and threatening them with financial penalties—a move the commission denounced as a gross overstep.

The fireworks continued into July of 2024. Wolfe was at the helm of a heated case involving a mother seeking permission to move away with her child. A mediation session collapsed when the court’s child counselor dialed the wrong number for the mother and couldn’t reach her, ultimately canceling the session.
