Dramatic scenes unfolded in Palm Coast, Florida, when Kaylie Poe, 27, found herself in the back of a police car after a run-in with the law that’s stranger than fiction. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Poe’s night took a nosedive after officers pulled her over on November 29, suspecting she was behind the wheel while impaired—with a toddler in tow.

Authorities say Poe’s troubles started when she blasted through a red light at the bustling crossroads of Palm Coast Parkway and I-95. Spotting two passengers—one barely out of diapers—deputies wasted no time flipping on their sirens. Poe, police claim, had all the classic signs: slurred words, blurry eyes, and wobbly steps that couldn’t fool the trained eye.

As the lights of Palm Coast swirled behind her, Poe agreed to a series of field sobriety tests. By the time she finished, deputies reported she ticked nearly every box for impairment, including six out of six telltale eye movements linked to drug or alcohol use.

But the story only gets wilder. Once back at the station, Poe consented to breathalyzer checks—not once, but twice. Shockingly, both tests showed zero traces of booze, sending investigators on a hunt for other substances.

That’s where the plot thickens. Law enforcement allege that Poe attempted a sneaky move to keep her stash hidden. According to the arrest report, she tried to conceal Xanax pills—prescription drugs meant for anxiety but popular on the black market—in her body cavities while in custody.

Now, Poe faces a rap sheet stacked with charges: DUI, declining mandatory testing, sneaking controlled substances into jail, intent to distribute, and tampering with evidence. Officials from the Sheriff’s Office say the case is ongoing as they dig into the events of that chaotic night.

As the dust settles, the wild tale stands as another reminder—nothing’s off-limits in Florida’s ever-bizarre crime scene
