An 18-year-old Florida student is facing three assault charges after a late-night bar outing spiraled into a series of violent confrontations inside a UF Plaza restroom and continued as she was escorted out of the building.
Police arrested Sierra Halton Lindberg last month following back-to-back altercations at a college bar just after midnight on Nov. 1, according to two separate probable cause affidavits. What began as a bathroom dispute quickly escalated into a multi-victim brawl involving hair-pulling, a knee strike, and a punch to the face.

The first victim told officers she was inside a bathroom stall when Lindberg suddenly entered, grabbed her by the hair, and yanked her to the floor. A “physical altercation” followed, and when police arrived, they noted that the victim’s hair was visibly shedding from the right side of her scalp.
A second woman, who witnessed the incident from another stall, said she tried to intervene but became the next target. According to her statement, Lindberg grabbed her hair as well, dragged her to the ground, and “struck her in the stomach with a knee.” Officers reported that the second victim had a bloodstain in her hair when they spoke with her.
Lindberg offered officers a different story. After being read her Miranda rights, she claimed the two victims entered the bathroom and one grabbed her hair first. She said she simply reacted by grabbing the other woman’s hair before they “both went to the ground.” “They hit me first,” she insisted.
But the chaos didn’t end in the bathroom.

As staff escorted Lindberg out of the establishment, she allegedly turned on the female employee walking her outside. The victim, who was told to remove the teen’s wristband, said she reached for Lindberg’s arm and was immediately punched in the head or face with a closed fist. Lindberg then allegedly grabbed the employee’s hair and pulled her to the ground.
When questioned about this second confrontation, Lindberg admitted she hit the woman but claimed she couldn’t remember where. Witnesses had no such uncertainty — several told police they saw Lindberg strike the employee in the face.
Regarding the employee, Lindberg allegedly told police, “She pulled me somewhere I didn’t like, so I hit her.”
Lindberg was ultimately charged with three counts of assault and later released on her own recognizance. The police report lists her as a student, though it’s unclear whether she currently attends the University of Florida. Her court date has not yet been set.
