Hollywood drama exploded in Chicago as Tara Reid, the notorious ‘American Pie’ sensation, was hauled out of a hotel on a stretcher in the dead of night. It all went down just after midnight on November 23, with onlookers capturing jaw-dropping footage of the star looking glassy-eyed and barely coherent.

Chaos erupted in the DoubleTree hotel lobby as at least three worried folks tried to get the 50-year-old actress settled into a wheelchair, but it wasn’t smooth sailing—at one point, tempers flared between the would-be rescuers as a dazed Reid mumbled and looked around helplessly. “We’re going to get you to your room, okay?” a uniformed man can be heard reassuring her as she struggled to keep it together.

But things spiraled further. An ambulance was quickly called, with paramedics dashing onto the scene and ultimately rolling Reid out to the waiting vehicle as a crowd looked on. According to Rosemont Public Safety, a distress call labeled “sick person” came in at 12:39 a.m. from that very hotel, and Reid was swiftly whisked away to a local hospital.

Sources at the scene told TMZ that before paramedics arrived, the actress was heard shouting, “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress!” Reid’s team soon jumped on damage control, releasing a statement claiming her drink might have been spiked. “Tara has submitted a police report and is cooperating with authorities. She asks for privacy in this deeply upsetting situation and urges everyone to keep a close eye on their drinks—this could happen to anyone,” the rep said. However, cops say that, so far, no such report has been filed.

Reid has maintained a low profile lately, only resurfacing in March on the red carpet for the Indonesian horror flick ‘Pabrik Gula’ in LA. She’s set to appear in several new films, including ‘The Dreamer Cinderella,’ and was last spotted on screen in the 2023 vampire thriller ‘Bloodthirst.
