Megyn Kelly is in the hot seat yet again after stirring controversy over shocking comments about Donald Trump’s connection to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Just days after questioning whether Epstein even qualified as a p***phile—astonishingly claiming his victims were only of the ‘barely legal’ variety—Kelly returned to her SiriusXM program on Thursday with more eyebrow-raising remarks. This time, she seemed to soft-pedal allegations linking Trump to sexual misconduct.

While discussing the recently released Epstein files, Kelly insisted, ‘No woman has ever claimed Epstein trafficked her to Trump,’ dismissing any direct bombshell. Instead, she noted, ‘The closest anyone’s got is an allegation Trump walked into a house with Epstein and groped someone he’d never met.’ Apparently unfazed, Kelly glossed over the gravity of such a claim—describing a possible sex offense as simply ‘the best’ evidence so far.

A protester holds up a photo of the future President Donald Trump with financier Jeffrey Epstein at a rally in Augusta, Georgia, on Aug. 2, 2025. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting a federal sex trafficking trial.

That’s hardly a glowing defense. Just entering a room with Epstein and allegedly molesting a stranger—potentially a minor—sounds damning, Megyn! But Kelly doubled down, saying investigators are grasping for a ‘smoking gun.’ According to her, Trump only reversed his stance because ‘he knew he would lose.’

Those tuning in were left gobsmacked. Didn’t Kelly remember that Trump was found liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll in 2023? Or that he became infamous for boasting on the 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape that, as a celebrity, he could grope women at will?

For someone so vocal about accountability, Kelly’s defense of Trump in the Epstein saga has left jaws on the floor—and sparked plenty of outrage online. Meanwhile, survivors and critics say these repeated attempts to downplay allegations are exactly why victims struggle to be heard.
