A DoorDash driver in upstate New York is facing criminal charges after police say she recorded and posted a TikTok video of a customer who appeared unconscious and without any of his clothing inside his home — an incident that has now spiraled into competing claims of sexual misconduct, corporate policy violations, and online backlash.

Henderson’s TikTok Made Her An Immediate Person of Interest

Olivia Henderson, 23, was arrested on Nov. 10 in connection with the October incident at a residence in Oswego, N.Y., according to a statement from the Oswego City Police Department. Investigators say the case began the day after the delivery, when officers received a report that a male DoorDash customer had been filmed sans-clothing inside his home and that the video had been uploaded to social media.

She Claimed That The Man Assaulted Her

Henderson told police she had been sexually assaulted while delivering the order on Oct. 12. But authorities say they ultimately found no evidence to support her claim. According to the department, the man — who appeared “incapacitated and unconscious” in the video — has been cooperating with investigators. Police say the footage shows Henderson filming from outside the residence.

She’s Posting Through It

Even after officers disputed her sexual assault allegation, Henderson publicly maintained that she was the victim. On her TikTok, she claimed the customer subjected her to “indecent exposure” because he was asleep totally unclothed within view of the front door, where she was instructed to leave the delivery. She also said TikTok removed the video, though the company has not commented. Since then, Henderson has posted several videos insisting she is being “silenced” or “punished” by TikTok, DoorDash, and Oswego police for speaking out. In one clip, she told followers that DoorDash deactivated her account after she reported the alleged assault. “They just punished me for reporting my sexual assault while DoorDashing,” she said.

If Henderson Hadn’t Posted The Video This Might Be A Different Story

DoorDash, however, offered a starkly different account. In an Oct. 16 statement referencing “tough and sensitive posts” circulating earlier that week, the company reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for sexual assault and said it applauded the driver for reporting her allegation. But the company also said the posting of a customer was a clear violation of its policies — and the only reason for her deactivation. “Posting a video of a customer in their home, and disclosing their personal details publicly, is a clear violation of our policies,” the company said, noting that Henderson still has full access to her earnings. Police ultimately charged Henderson with first-degree dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image and second-degree unlawful surveillance — both tied to the recording and sharing of the video. She was released with a ticket to appear in court and is scheduled to return on Dec. 4, according to online court records.
