More than 27 years after Amy Bradley vanished from a cruise ship in the Caribbean, new leads have reignited hope — and raised new questions — about what happened to her that night.

Bradley, 23 at the time, disappeared from a Royal Caribbean cruise in March 1998 while traveling with her family near Curaçao. Despite extensive searches and an ongoing FBI investigation, no trace of her was ever found. But the Netflix docuseries Amy Bradley Is Missing, released this summer, has breathed new life into the decades-old case — and may have surfaced some of the most promising leads in years. A source close to the production told The Hollywood Reporter that since the docuseries premiered in July, hundreds of tips have poured in. Of those, three are being treated as “very significant.” The insider described a wave of renewed interest from viewers who believe they may have seen or heard something connected to the case.

Senorita Kidnapped

Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, sailed into Port Canaveral early Saturday morning, Aug. 9, officially becoming one of the two largest cruise ships in commercial operation. Star of the Seas matches its Royal Caribbean sister ship, the Miami-based Icon of the Seas, as the world’s largest cruise ship.

One of the new leads reportedly involves a woman who was working as a bartender on the ship the night Amy disappeared. The bartender — who, according to THR, was overheard shouting “Señorita kidnapped! Señorita kidnapped!” — had not previously been identified or interviewed by authorities. The source said she has since come forward and is now being questioned by investigators. However, Amy’s mother, Iva Bradley, disputed that detail in a statement to People, clarifying that the bartender has not yet been found or interviewed. Still, Iva said the family remains hopeful that the surge of public attention will uncover the truth.

The Netflix Series About Her Disappearance Has Changed Everything

Since the series aired, the Bradleys have reportedly hired private investigators, using funds raised in the wake of the show. They’re now working alongside the FBI in Curaçao and nearby countries, pursuing any new trail that could shed light on Amy’s fate. Another lead came through Amy’s official missing-persons website, which the family maintains in hopes that she — or someone connected to her case — might one day visit. The site recently recorded a “highly suspicious” hit traced to a boat near Barbados, the source told THR. Investigators are looking into whether the activity could be linked to Amy’s disappearance or to someone monitoring the investigation. A third lead, according to the same report, centers on evidence suggesting Amy may have had a child sometime after she disappeared — a theory mentioned briefly but not explored in the Netflix series.

Unconfirmed Sightings

Since 1998, there have been multiple reported sightings of Amy, from the Caribbean to the U.S., but none have been confirmed. The family has always rejected the idea that Amy fell or jumped overboard. They’ve long believed she was abducted, possibly by sex traffickers, and that she is still alive. “People can’t understand the level of hope that we’ve maintained,” Amy’s brother, Brad, said in an earlier interview. “We’re still waiting for that call.” The FBI’s investigation remains open. Officials continue to urge anyone with information to contact the agency or submit a tip at AmyBradleyIsMissing.com. For Amy’s family, every new lead — no matter how small — feels like a reminder that the story isn’t over yet.
