Former First Lady Melania Trump startled social media this week with a cryptic video that left more questions than answers.
On Wednesday, Trump reposted a clip to X featuring what looked like an AI-generated version of herself. The digital Melania appears to teleport into a sleek high-rise with a city skyline behind her, glides toward the camera, then looks down and back up. She never speaks. Instead, the words “Into The Future” hover as both caption and message.
The video originated from an account promoting her official cryptocurrency meme coin, which launched with fanfare but has since collapsed in value. According to Coinbase, the coin has lost roughly 98 percent of its worth since its debut. The project’s own website warns that tokens are “intended for collecting and entertainment purposes only” and are not actual financial investments — a caveat that underscores just how speculative the endeavor is.
Still, the choice to post the clip puzzled observers. Was it marketing for her fading crypto venture, a statement about technology, or just another surreal twist in the Trump family’s media strategy? The answer remains unclear.
What is clear is that Melania’s online presence has increasingly overlapped with digital experimentation and crypto culture at a time when her husband, President Donald Trump, is also embracing AI-generated content. He has recently shared videos that leaned into racist caricatures of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, drawing heavy criticism.
