Hillary Clinton is warning people about the dangers of misinformation and the real-world harm it can cause. On Wednesday, the former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee used her platform on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to deliver a sharp rebuke of the Trump administration and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now serving as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Clinton Is Warning Us About Turning Back The Clocks

Her frustration came after a Monday press conference where both Kennedy and President Trump made sweeping, unverified claims about Tylenol, childhood vaccines, and autism — remarks that echoed long-debunked conspiracy theories and reignited concerns from public health experts. “I mean, this is so crazy, it’s so wrongheaded, it’s so shortsighted,” Clinton said flatly. “And it’s going to cause deaths. These guys want to literally turn the clock back.”
Who Do You Believe?

For Clinton, the problem isn’t just that dubious claims are being aired from the highest levels of government — it’s that the authority behind them confuses people. “When your president says something, when a Kennedy, who’s the secretary of HHS, says something, what are you supposed to believe?” she asked. That confusion, she argued, is already leading to real damage. “Too many Americans are listening to this very destructive anti-science tirade that we’re hearing from this administration. And it’s going to cost lives. It already is costing lives.”
The White House and “Crackpot Ideas”

Clinton’s comments reflect a broader tension between the Trump White House and mainstream science. Public health organizations have spent decades fighting misinformation about vaccines and medicine, but those efforts are complicated when leaders appear to legitimize fringe theories. Clinton’s use of the phrase “crackpot ideas” underscores just how far outside accepted science she believes the administration has strayed.
Obviously The White House Isn’t Happy With Her Comments

President Donald Trump speaks during a memorial service honoring Charlie Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Sept. 21, 2025.
The White House was quick to push back. Spokesman Kush Desai dismissed Clinton’s critique with a familiar line of attack: “Her open contempt and condescension towards everyday Americans is exactly why she so devastatingly lost in 2016 to President Trump and why she’s no longer relevant.”
This Goes Beyond Politics

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and former President Bill Clinton marched in the New Castle Memorial Day observance and parade in Chappaqua on May. 29, 2017.
Clinton’s warning taps into a concern that stretches beyond partisan politics. Public health experts have long emphasized that trust in institutions is fragile — and when undermined, it can make it harder to stop the spread of preventable diseases. In Clinton’s telling, the stakes are nothing less than life and death.
