Private First Class Juliana Vilsaint’s journey into the Army Reserve is as much about personal growth as it is about service. As an Automated Logistical Specialist (92A), she is learning the technical skills that will support her future career while embracing the challenges of military life.

For Vilsaint, joining wasn’t just about the job — it was about proving herself. As the first in her family to serve, she carries the weight of that milestone proudly. Her parents, immigrants to the United States, inspired her to build a life of discipline, opportunity, and resilience. “I joined so they can help me start my career in the real world,” she explains, underscoring her focus on long-term goals.

The toughest surprises came early: the shouting, the intensity, and the push toward strict discipline. But in those moments, she found determination. Her favorite test so far — the daunting Victory Tower — pushed her to confront her fear of heights. “It was scary at first,” she admits, “but then being able to go down there and seeing that I can go down it just made me wanna go down it again.”

For Vilsaint, every challenge is a chance to prove that nothing is impossible.
