A Friday night confrontation in Jasper County ended with the arrest of a 58-year-old woman accused of pulling a gun, impersonating a police officer, and detaining a man she believed was trespassing.
Authorities identified the woman as Alishia Robin Blevins, of Kirbyville. According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to a report of criminal trespass on County Road 536. When a deputy arrived, he found Blevins with a man seated on the road in front of his own vehicle.
Blevins told law enforcement that the man was an undocumented immigrant who had been on her property. But investigators quickly determined that the man had not entered or remained on her land. Instead, the sheriff’s office says, Blevins confronted him with a handgun, demanding his proof of insurance, his name, his phone, and his car keys. She allegedly forced him out of his vehicle and made him sit on the road until police arrived.
The man and a witness, who later gave sworn statements, said Blevins claimed to be a police officer during the ordeal. At one point, she allegedly used the man’s phone to call his wife, telling her that her husband was “going to jail.”
Blevins also brought along a large German Shepherd, which she placed inside the man’s vehicle. She claimed the dog was a Harris County K-9 unit and warned the man that the animal would attack if he tried to leave.
The sheriff’s office arrested Blevins on a charge of terroristic threat causing fear of serious bodily injury and booked her into the Jasper County Jail. Officials added that charges of impersonating a peace officer may follow as the investigation continues.
Immigration authorities were contacted to look into the man’s status, but law enforcement emphasized that their initial review found no evidence of trespassing.
For now, Blevins faces the possibility of multiple criminal charges and the prospect of a lengthy legal battle. And the community is left with a reminder that public safety rests with actual law enforcement officers—not self-appointed ones.
