Authorities in rural Arkansas are searching for 17-year-old Hannah Osborn, who vanished Saturday evening after leaving her father’s home in the small town of Bradford.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department says Hannah was last seen around 7:40 p.m. on August 9. Her father, Wesley Osborn, fears his daughter may have been in contact with someone online before she disappeared. He told local station KATV that Hannah has a history of meeting people through Snapchat but has always returned home.

“There were some vehicles spotted on my road about the time that she left,” Wesley said. “It leads me to believe there might be some foul play, some drug activity around my neighborhood.” While it’s unclear if Hannah got into one of those vehicles, both Wesley and her mother, Crystal, say they are pursuing every possible lead.

Hannah’s parents describe her as a bright, compassionate young woman with what they call a “wild spirit.”

“She’s beautiful. She’s caring. She’s got a big heart,” Wesley said. “We just want our daughter back… more importantly, I just need to know she’s alive and okay.”

Since her disappearance, Wesley has turned to social media to plead for her safe return, posting emotional messages about what he calls “the hardest” days of his life. “Been out another night, fighting to find your beautiful light,” one post read. In another, he urged her to reach out: “Please, if you see this, pick up a phone and call me and tell me that you are ok. We have turned this country upside down searching for you… I would beat down the doors of Hell to find you and make sure you are safe.”

His message to her was unwavering: “No matter what I will always love you. Good, bad, right, or wrong I will always be here for you. You are my flesh and blood, my baby girl.”

Crystal said she can hardly put her feelings into words. “I don’t even have the words to express how I’m feeling right now,” she said.

The family is working closely with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Arkansas State Police. Investigators have released a description of Hannah: she is 5’9”, weighs around 120 pounds, has curly blonde hair (though she often straightens it), and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and carrying an orange and black backpack.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at (870) 523-5842. For now, the search continues — and her parents are holding onto the hope that Hannah will come home.
