A bitter and increasingly personal feud between two prominent figures in the “Make America Great Again” movement has spilled across social media this week, with right-wing activist Laura Loomer accusing Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of corruption.

As far as the media is aware, MTG and Loomer’s beef started with a foreign policy rift within the MAGA wing of the Republican Party, centered on the U.S. role in Israel’s war in Gaza. Loomer, who is Jewish, has been an outspoken supporter of Israel, while Greene has argued that the United States should not intervene in foreign wars and has described Israel’s military campaign as a “genocide.”

Their disagreement has since escalated into a string of public attacks. On Tuesday, Loomer accused Greene of funneling more than $113,000 in campaign funds to her daughter, Taylor Greene Robinson, since March 2024. Citing Federal Election Commission data, Loomer alleged the payments, listed as “staff payroll,” went to Robinson even though she lives in Yoakum, Texas, hundreds of miles from Greene’s Georgia congressional district. Greene’s office has not commented on the claim.

The exchange follows an earlier round of barbs in which Greene suggested Loomer was being “bankrolled” by Israeli intelligence, dubbing her “MIGA” — “Make Israel Great Again.” “Many people are asking who or what government or what intelligence agency has bankrolled, the twice failed Congressional candidate, Laura Loomer all these years?” Greene wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Loomer, who has twice run unsuccessfully for Congress, rejected the accusation and accused Greene of jealousy. She defended her campaign record, saying she fundraised “every penny” herself and campaigned extensively despite being banned from multiple social media platforms. Her post also included pointed personal attacks, accusing Greene of cheating on her former husband — a claim that has circulated since a 2021 Daily Mail report alleging affairs with a “sex guru” and a gym manager. Greene has previously dismissed those reports as “ridiculous tabloid garbage.”

Greene responded by portraying Loomer as a destabilizing presence within the movement. “Laura Loomer viciously attacks and lies about those of us who are President Trump’s most loyal original MAGA supporters,” Greene wrote on X, adding, “Laura Loomer is the most unstable person and worst liability to ever walk in the Oval Office.”

Greene and Loomer’s knives are likely going to be out until one of them is banished from the internet (so, never). Their feud shows the cracks inside Trump’s political sphere, but who expected things to get so nasty between people who are ostensibly on the inside of one of the most histoircal political dynasties of the burgeoning 21st century?

For now, neither side appears willing to step back, and the conflict continues to play out in real time before an audience of political supporters, critics, and observers tracking the volatile alliances within the MAGA movement.
