A Kentucky woman is facing a string of felony charges after allegedly trying to trigger a life-threatening allergic reaction in her former mother-in-law using crushed bell peppers — all while involving two children in the plan.

Tiffany Gregory, 34, was arrested in Louisville on Monday after what police described as months of stalking and escalating threats. Authorities say she targeted her ex-mother-in-law, who has a severe allergy to bell peppers, by attempting to deliver a bag of crushed peppers directly to her home.

According to court records, Gregory’s harassment had been ongoing for months, with the victim reporting multiple threatening messages and repeated instances of Gregory driving past her home. In one message from April, Gregory allegedly sent a video of the woman standing in line at a Walgreens, filmed without her knowledge.

The situation took a disturbing turn in early July. Police say Gregory picked up two children — aged 11 and 8 — under the pretense of taking them to the zoo, but instead directed them to stomp on bell peppers and place them in a gift bag. She then drove to her ex-mother-in-law’s home and instructed the children to leave the bag on the porch.

The children refused. According to police, a friend of Gregory’s placed the bag on the woman’s car instead. Along with the crushed peppers, Gregory left a birthday card containing a cruel message.

Authorities also cited a separate incident from June in which Gregory allegedly rubbed an unidentified pink substance on the woman’s car door. The victim reportedly wiped it off with a napkin, only to wake up later in the hospital being treated for an allergic reaction.

Gregory has been charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree wanton endangerment and two counts of second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. She is also facing a misdemeanor stalking charge.

She was arraigned Wednesday morning, and her bond was set at $25,000.
